Water filter info

Looks like a pretty good basic guide to some of the popular drinking water treatment systems.  You will have to go to mfr's websites (some have info on Amazon) for specs on overall capacity, shelf life, etc.

Pretty good article for getting the basics.  Thanks for posting it.  I have a few criticisms about their test and the product selections but its a good place to start.   Understanding water purification isn't simply a matter of reading an article like the one posted and choosing one of the recommended units and then you're good to go.  A lot depends on the environmental conditions the filter will be operating in as well as what the water source will be.  You are usually much better served by using a multi-pronged approach to the problem which wasn't really gone into.  To be fair, I'm sure the scope of the article was never intended to be a whole treatise on the subject.    :coffee
