Social media stupidity
« on: August 20, 2014, 12:58:54 am »
So they say that life imitates art. Well, I've heard of the internet being utilised before to gather stupid or evil people en masse to do God awful things like making killing mobs for pets (pit bulls on Halloween).

Just some examples of internet stupidity:

But now it seems we are moving from pets to people. I'm an optimist, a proud optimist who believes the majority of people are indeed good, but I am always amazed at how many fluffed up people come out of the wood work when social media is involved.

People are attempting to recreate "the purge", 12 hours of anarchy in certain areas. My great state included.

Probably nothing, but smdh. People suck sometimes.

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

Paradoxically it is those who strive for self-reliance, who remain vigilant and ready to help others.

I think some people might be grossly underestimating their likelihood of getting arrested (at best).

I'm not saying you should use an M1A for home defense, but I'm also not saying you shouldn't.

I wouldn't call it stupidity, I'd call it degenerate.  A too-common descriptor of modern urban America.

Go ahead and try that,  see what happens.   Won't seem so funny when they get shot or arrested.
