Winchester SXP question
« on: February 04, 2014, 05:19:35 pm »
Hey all!
First time gun owner, purchased a SXP on Sunday for hunting. Decided I would take it apart and clean it with light gun oil before I shoot it for the first time this weekend. However I noticed that the rotary bolt assembly seemed to not sit flush in the receiver. Everything seems to work when I work the action but I just wasn't sure if I'm being my own worst enemy or if I actually did something wrong when I assembled the gun back together. Wondering if anyone has close ups of the SXP ejection slot with the action closed so I could compare. Or if anyone has help or guidance that would be much appreciated!

When you say not fitting flush, what do you mean?  Can you snap a picture of what's happening?
