So, I'm trying to do some "fan art" for the MHverse, but I'm trying to pin down which components would make an accurate Abomination, there are a couple of problems that I'm facing, most importantly, the fore end, because I don't know if any Saiga fore end is compatible with the GP-25, which as I'm told, attaches to the barrel (would that mean it has no lower fore end and just the GL would act as it?)

So if anyone can chime in, without bugging Correia about it, or making suggestions of things that have come out since the release of the book, do tell.

Receiver: Saiga 12 with Tromix PG conversion?
Barrel: 12 inch barrel, but is Vang comp a comp like a shark mouth breaching brake?
Stock: Ace Stock with AR adapter
Sight: Eotech 552?
Sight mount: Generic AK side mount, dust-cover mount or scout mount?
Grip: Fal Grip
Fore end: generic polymer fore end with rails like the TDI LHV-47T  or aluminium fore end like Midwest Industries Universal AK fore end or the Arsenal blocky RIS?
Bayonet: this is a more "philosophical" question, where to be mounted, fitted to the picatinny rail or bolted somewhere else for sturdiness?

Now, this thread is purely for s___s and giggles, I don't intent to build one, but I'd wish.

Carry on  :whistle

I have no idea, but I know Alex at Dreadnaught Industries is building one. I've seen it. Not knowing much about Saigas, I couldn't tell you what was on it.

The bayonet was mounted on the left side, but I forget how it was attached.

You forgot the under-slung grenade launcher, unless I'm thinking of a different weapon.

As far as your grenade launcher problem goes, most of the newer generation ones like the HK AG-36/M320 bolt on to Picatinny rails.

A quad rail fore end would provide a place for the GL and space to mount the EOTech.  You do have to make sure the GL leaves clearance for rocking the mag in/out, though.

The grenade launcher is covered under the GP-25/30 on the opening post's first paragraph, which is the only front loaded launcher that I know off.

The AG-36, and M203 with rail mount would sit too low to be able to rock out the magazines, I'm sure.

Side's, any other NATO launcher wouldn't be accurate since Owen describes multiple times pushing the 'nade down the muzzle.

If no more suggestions flow up I'm gonna go with a generic aluminum RIS fore end, possibly looking like the Arsenal one and a side mount for the Eotech.

Reason is that the IR illuminatior would go on the 12' o clock position, light on the 3'oclock, GL on the 6' and bayonet on the 9'.

But of course I wouldn't add all that at once, just for reference.

The Vang Comp System (VCS), designed by gunsmith Hans J. Vang, is a set of modifications to shotgun barrels. The alterations to the barrel consist of lengthening the forcing cone, back-boring the barrel, and adding compensating ports. With the VCS, accuracy significantly improves, felt recoil is dramatically reduced, and muzzle rise diminishes. By lengthening the forcing cone, the pellets have a smooth flow from the chamber to the bore. This prevents the pellets from bunching up in the barrel and reduces the felt recoil. In addition, the pellets do not become as deformed and keep a more consistent shape.

I know, It's just that it wasn't that high on my list, I did search for it once but came with nothing for it, so I sent it to the bottom until I identified everything else.

Absolutely.  I loved that scene when Owen puts on the Ivory's and says "Now it gets SERIOUS!"  You can just HEAR that music playing "Hold The Pig Steady"!

This actually looks like somebody has already started building Abomination for sale, minus of course the GL and the bayonet:

No, that's just a Siaga.  It's not an Abomination if it doesn't have the GL and Bayonet.

Also, no Ace stock, no Eotech, no stubby barrel and safety shelf.

Not to forget, black guns get hot in the sun :D

Saying any saiga is an abomination is like saying any 1982 Trans am is KITT, they might look alike, but the whole package is what makes it awesome.

Never said it was exactly Abomination, just said it was a start.  Call it a baby Abomination.  Collapsible stock, SAW grip, rails, red dot.  Plus, this sucker's for sale on gunsamerica.  No way Milo's brainchild would be allowed for sale in this country.

Well, not until the Hughes Amendment is repealed/overturned, at any rate.
