A couple of thoughts:

The 20 bore tri-ball was loaded in a 2.75" case and roll crimped.  Interestingly, the overall loaded length was identical to a Federal's 3" #2B load with a fold crimp.

The combination of Wad, Buffer and "Pellets" weigh in almost exactly at 1.5 ounces - from a 2.75" 20 gauge!

Yesterday I shot 5boxs of "Dixie Tri-Ball"  Along with 5 boxes of Fereral Tru-ball 1oz slugs and Fiocchi 1oz slugs.  This was done standing using a Cabela's tri-pod shooting stick.  The distance was 40 yard.  The gun: A Turkey made Escort MP, with a fixed cylinder choke and internally chrome plated 18" barrel.  All products shoot 2 1/2 to 3" groups.  The Tri-Ball also put all 3 balls in a 3" pattern.  The "Tri-ball" out performed the other 2 slugs.  THis was also done in a $300.00 turkey made gun.  "That Turkey sure do shoot!"

Like big bore rifles, targeting with shotguns is best done from a standing bench rest so the shooter can move with the recoil impulse.

Ran across this on You Tube.  Methinks the guy doing the shooting has not dealt with heavy Buckshot, Turkey or Slug loads before.  Full choke tube.
