Rock Solid.  Not the most refined, but rock solid guns.  Cowboy action guys use them a lot and those guys blast throuh more rounds than a Marine Expeditionary Unit.  The guns stand up.
Get the Deluxe version... its a hundred bucks more, but you get a better looking two tone finish, better fit and finish, and you get screw out chokes.  That actually makes the Coachguns practical.  You can hunt with them... Pheasant, grouse, and such. 
And they make for a fanstastic home defense gun.

The CZ guns are spendy... the Stoegers are much lighter on the wallet. 

I've owned a Rossi Coach Gun since 1970, 12ga 3" with hammers.
Love it!   Used it as an ugly gun during LEO days in southern Nevada.
Fired twice during duty with instant attention getter (note, painful
if fired indoors!) and a few times with lesser loads for quail hunting.
This one pretty lookin, but I really have no idea how it would hold up
with extensive use.   I don't believe they are made any longer, but
see them once in a while in a used gun rack.   The mag loads (OO Buck)
were not as terrible on the shoulder as I expected.   Fun gun that is
fast handling.   Suspect the Stoger is build simular except I believe
it comes in 2 3/4 chambers only.

You might try the Upland version, most people find the balance better and it only adds a few inches.

We just got in a couple more of the Deluxe Coach Guns.  I was looking at one Saturday close up.  Just a neat gun all around.  I'd love to have one myself.
