Gotcha. Very cool. As long as the base model was a pistol-grip-only model "other firearm", and it complies with any state codes, sounds like you're good to go!

Yup. Mossberg Tactical Cruisers come with P-grip installed. Just need to buy the mag tube and barrel.

Tho part of me wants to get another 500 Cruiser, get a Vang Comp +1 kit for the one I have now making it 7+1, get another Breachers grip for the plain 500 Cruiser as well as the 14" conversion. Then I have two. The 14" will be my NY reload.

I’ve decided that after I pay off the Savage that I need to send to Jesse (as well as a .458 barrel), and after the Glock 29 I will get a standard 500 Cruiser and convert that. I’ll take the Knoxx Breacher off of my Tactical Cruiser, put it on the new 500 and put on a P-grip stock and add a Vang Comp +1 extension to make my Tac Cruiser a 7 shot. That will be my shoulder fire gauge and the 14” cruiser will be its backup.

It’s going to be an awesome 2014! Well, as long as I can fit a .44 mag in there too. 

Got to put a box of shells through my new toy this weekend. Unfortunately it wasn't in any organized fashion. We were shooting at a stump off my back deck, so don't ask for details on patterning. LOL

First, this thing is ridiculously fun to shoot, and it's impossible not to look cool holding it!

Second, recoil isn't as bad as I expected. I actually feel more of it in my front hand (on the fore end) than I do holding the Raptor grip.

Third, shooting it one-handed is POSSIBLE, but not recommended. Not for the reason you might think, though. The recoil isn't awful, but because there's nothing holding the slide forward, and since pulling the trigger unlocks said slide, you end up with a partially racked slide after firing. This didn't cause any malfunctions, and a good solid rack to the rear ejected the spent shells just fine, though.

Fourth, I may look in to doing something to enhance the grippy-ness of the Raptor grip. It's an extremely solid piece of kit, but it's a little smooth under the hand. I haven't decided just what to do yet, though. Maybe I'll Book of Eli it and do a wrap of some sort.

I've only fired a few rounds of Birdshot with mine.  I need to take it out and video review it.

Having some fun with my Get Me Home bag tonight. Threw on the shotty sheath and I LIKE IT! I'm not reaching nearly as far as the picture makes it look. The photographer was sitting down. The shotty grip sits right behind my shoulder and is very quick to grab and easy to pull out.
