Interesting/Odd Russian Shotguns

I think this is the first time I've seen a revolving shotgun (the Judge doesn't count)

    The guns on that thread are bueatiful pieces of work.  I only hope that someday I can produce work of that calibre!

    And the revolver shotgun is awesome!

    I like the revolver but that pump is beautiful, especially with the folding stock.

    Are these imported at all?

    I've always loved the concept of a shotgun with the magazine on top.

    It's such a compact thing too - as the note says, it basically has no receiver.

    I'd think the backwards pumping would make it easy to use the support hand to pull the gun tight into the shoulder.
    My biggest annoyance with pumps is that my trigger hand is doing all the pulling.  I'm sure with some variations of the standard pump you CAN pull on the slide while in lockup but I don't like to do that.

    I've never used a pump that wouldn't let you pull on the slide while in lockup. In my experience (Winchester mod 12, Mossberg 500, Remington 870, some kind of Remington .22 slide action), they all lock into place until you fire or hit the release button.

    If you have a pump-gun that will unlock without pulling the trigger or pushing the release then either there is a mechanical problem with the gun, it wasn't fully in battery, or it is a really crappy design (basically a blow-back  semi with no recoil spring)
