Yeah, sell a  hunting shotgun in a tactical fashion, makes a lot of sense. I don't doubt its a great gun, but sell it as such, don't try to make it look like the ad-spot was cut from the Matrix.

As goofy as the advert stuff is... the gun itself looks impressive as all get out.  I can't wait to get my hands on one.   I might have to buy one and I'm not really a Hunting Shotgun kinda guy.
But I can't help but to think that this platform would make for a killer tactical shotgun.

Perhaps we'd load shells from this brand with it?

I just realized that on that extreme shock ad, they only had one guy. They just flipped the one on the right, added goggles (currently doing nothing), and did a poor job at making him look black.

I just realized that this is apparently an actual brand?  Is it not some kind of joke?

Who in their right mind would market ammunition in this way?
How come their defensive ammo is never reviewed in gun magazines (publications)?

I've seen the terminal ballistics reviewed online, don't know about in publications. Of course, if they don't offer free ammo to the publications, which I think they do, maybe they don't want to buy $50/20 ammo to test.

I've seen interesting tests, where the rounds advertised as minimizing penetration of walls actually penetrated deeper in wall substances than in gel, it was something like 20" through drywall, 5 inches through gel. Good for defending yourself against those dangerous roving gangs of houses, though.

    George,
What video are you talking about?  The video shows a guy hunting geese.  I didn't see anything tactical or "tactic-cool" or anyone wearing shorts in the video.

No, I had no pull.  Benelli's website had a Movie Trailer like marketing campaign thing going on... like a spy movie trailer.  Until March 31st I think it was, when they unveiled the new Benelli Vinci.  I thought that the marketing ploy was a poor one... but the shotgun looks like it's an incredible machine.
The tactical thing is my own idea.  I'd like to see a tactical gun based on the Vinci platform.

I think I stumbled across that EXXXTREEEEME SHOCKZORS site some time ago. Heh, at least it was good for a laugh. The Vinci ad was a little cheesy, but I've seen way worse ads for cars and razor blades.

I STILL can't believe someone markets ammunition in this manner.
I just find it hard to believe, because it is probably illegal to market ammunition to the same demographic that watches power rangers.
