Ruger 10/22 Price Check
« on: November 10, 2011, 09:16:51 pm »
What are these fun little guns running for around the place?  Cables is selling them for 170 on Black Friday - but that's an hour away.  Wondering if dealing w the crappy crowds and driving is worth it.

They usually run about $180 or so for the basic version in the big box stores (walmart, academy). I wouldn't get out on black friday for that price. I would ask my regular dealer if he could get within $25 or so of that price and just get it there.

Cheapest I'm seeing from Davidson's right now is ~$200.

Personally, I'd shop around for a used one which should easily be under $150.

Here in southern Illinois, the base model new will run $200+. I bought one from my LGS last year and I think I gave about $215 OTD with an extra magazine.

My observation is used ones tend to run about the same, or even higher. At some point, Ruger switched to a plastic trigger assembly. There are enough people who want the old style to drive the prices up.

My stainless model was around $260 at Academy.
