I finally put a decent amount of rounds through it this weekend.  It's pretty nifty offhand too; I did relatively well at the 200yd silhouette match.

Thanks.  I shot it that day and on Sunday.  I was very satisfied and pleased with it by the end of the weekend.  I also shot a new personal record in the 200yd offhand match with it.

So it's a .308 built on a USGI receiver, right?

From an earlier FB post he made.  ;)

I know he said .308 but I didn't catch if it was commercial or USGI.

    That stock looks cool btw!

So...  Am I the only one wondering how that gun shop has M1s, M1 Carbines, and AK, an FAL, and what looks like an AR?

No... I saw some today at a few out of the way shops that I went to though most were .22 there were a few .223 ar's and one store had a .450 bushmaster upper although it was reserved for someone.

No I was wondering that too especially since that FAL looks like it might be an L1A1.

    Evil Jim,

Where is that gunshop with the FAL? I'm in the market for one right now. Reasonably priced of course.

His stock is hit and miss, it is a small shop... but he tries to keep stocked up with a little bit of everything.
His prices don't seem to be out of line.
Right now he has M1s, M1 carbines, M1A, an AK, FAL, a few lever guns, bolts, pumps, etc.
The shop is small, but it is only 10-15 miles off the beaten path.
I would say it is worth a stop in to look around.

Just to resurrect the thread. Here's my latest AR build.  :)

    PSA 16" upper assembly
Del-Ton lower w/ CMMG lower parts kit
    BCM bolt carrier group
    Bushmaster carry handle
Battle Arms Development Ambi Safety Selector (BAD-ASS)
    Various Magpul and CAA bits

A fairly standard configuration. Will be getting good quality optics, light, and a IDF sling when funds permit.
