Galil/Golani in 7.62x39?
« on: July 11, 2011, 04:45:33 pm »
Do such creatures exist?  I'm thinking also set up to use standard AK mags.

If they don't exist, how difficult would they be to make?

Might Joe think it a worthy endeavor?

No Golanis were done in 7.62x39 AFAIK, but Galil has done the ACE 31 & 32 which are chambered for it.

I hear there have been a few Golani clones in 7.62x39 put together in the US, but they're not common.

I've seen a couple, and know of a couple guys who've taken Chinese (Hunter model maybe? sporterized versions anyway) AK47's and Galiled them with Israeli parts.

I know a couple years ago a company (Ohio Ordnance, Action Arms possibly?) produced a 7.62X39 galil.  But production is stopped, and prices shot through the roof.
