Found some of this at the gun show tonight.  7.62 NATO.  Box is marked ball / M1A2 / 551 / A/84.  Headstamp is 84 on top, 12 on bottom.

anyone know what it is?

    No joke....i wish i could get a deal like that....even with the primer being what it is its still a damned good round to keep around...i bought a box of 100 @ 80c a round and i was happy....hope you stockpiled cuz mines all gone and i miss it...now i shoot Wolf.... :vomit
    Keep your guns near, dont carry them though...you might be arrested for terrorism, but its good to keep them close. Just in case someone decides they want them.
