A question for those who might know.

What is the standard finish on WASR rifles?  It's not bluing.  Is it parkerizing, paint, or what?

Just curious.  Thanks a lot.  :)

    Parkerizing I think.

    Keep it oiled and it's a good finish all by itself. Degrease it thoroughly and it makes an excellent base for any of the sprayed on finishes.

    I think its park'd yeah...

    I believe Bulgarians and Russians are park'd and then painted over.  Not 100% sure though, but I like the idea of that myself.

    Agreed with Jesse on the keeping it very well oiled, Park doesnt offer a lot of rust protection by itself, it relies on holding the oil to really prevent corrosion.
