2 AR Lowers in the house. What to build?
« on: January 31, 2015, 06:40:48 pm »
Like the title says. A little background, I assembled my son a 6.8 SPC II last spring. I assembled myself a 300 BLK last summer, and last fall I bought a Ruger AR556, the DI gun. For $599 I'm ok with what is and isn't and what it does.

So, I feel my basic needs are met and I find myself with 2 lowers sitting around. I've thought about an SPR type rifle for one of them just haven't quite sold myself on the idea completely so I'm looking for suggestions. AR pistols don't really interest me and I don't think an SBR is in my immediate future.

So, what does everyone here think?

SPR/DMR type rifles can be very nice for varmints as well. I find an SPR type setup in 5.56 really nice for 'yotes in my area.

I'm in the same boat. I've got a Sig 556 SWAT, and two built lowers. I'm thinking of going with an M4 configuration and keeping it as light as I can. Not sure about the other. With prices the way they are now, you can build whatever you think you need.
I'm not saying you should use an M1A for home defense, but I'm also not saying you shouldn't.

Wait till the "Hillary '16" stickers start showing up, then sell them for a bunch of money.
