Once fired, tumbled brass.  1,000.

Sorry, just making a point.  I'm sure someone somewhere gets loaded ammo free.   >:D

Glad you found a deal.  I don't shoot 9, but find plenty to pick up at the range when collecting my gold-plated platinum value 10mm brass (that is how it feels).

I have been looking into buying the swaging dies needed to form .400 bullets from 9mm and 380 brass.  I might suddenly be keenly interested in lots of it if that works out well.

    Yep, that's a decent deal.

Buddy of mine gets as much as he wants for free.  His department doesn't recycle the brass from their service pistols in their practice range, and they shoot only new ammo, all from the same manufacturer.

Deer hunter-  Gloat away.  That was a good deal you ran into, no question there.
This may be considered as the true palladium of liberty. . . . The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction- St. George Tucker, Blackstone's Commentaries
