Good experience with Hornady
« on: October 02, 2009, 05:39:40 pm »
Just wanted to relate a good experience I had with Hornady.

I have several sets of their New Dimension dies and they have always worked well for me.  This week my son and I were reloading some 30-06 for his rifle and he got a case stuck in the size die.  In the effort to remove it I bent the spindle.  :cuss

I have another set in 270 that I bought from a guy along with some other reloading stuff.  When I opened the box I realized that it was missing the spindle as well.  :banghead

So I called Hornady to tell them that I wanted to purchase replacement spindle assemblies for both dies.  She asked for my address, which I gave her, and as she was confirming it back to me I pulled out my credit card to make the purchase.  She said "I will get those out under warranty for you, have a great weekend."  :o

One more reason for me to continue using their products.

RCBS has done things like that for me in the past(blasted berdan primed 308 :whistle.)  Good to hear Hornady has the same high level of customer service.

Yeah my reloading buddy and I break stuff relatively frequently on our Hornady LNL AP. It's not that they're built poorly, it's that we're not good at stopping when it starts to fight.

We've ripped off rims, bent spindles, broken decapping pins, molested springs, etc and they continue to replace them free of charge even though we insist that it was not a manufacturing defect, but our own stupid fault.

Great company, great service, and a great product, we love it!  O0

No, haven't had an issue with a reload yet. However, when we try and load a thousand rounds a night instead of quitting at 700 when we were frustrated bad things happen to the press.
