IMR Blue Discontinued

I recently received confirmation from Hodgdon Powder Company that IMR Blue powder has been discontinued.     :coffee

    Bummer.  I guess they decided to concentrate more on rifle powders?   :shrug   I don't personally know anybody using it but it stinks when you have to build a new load because something got discontinued.  That happened to me with IMR SR 4756.   :facepalm

    I think the probably got a deal on a couple of freight cars of over-run or powder that fell out of spec for a contract.  And now they are out and there wasn't enough interest to merit a new dedicated run.

    They probably need to consolidate their product line to enable them to better meet demand for the more popular stuff.  It will be years before the market catches back up, if ever.
