Beginning Reloading
« on: November 12, 2008, 01:30:10 am »
Ran across this in another forum and I believe it to be an excellent starting point.

Numbers 8, 9, and 10 are of least use, in my opinion, but still a good read.

    Yup.  A good list.

Given the economic times,  I'll add that many of these items can be bought used, for a fraction of the new price.  Some mom & pop gunstores sell used reloading gear, and there's always Craigslist.

I like backpage.com for gun stuff. Craigslist.com has this prohibition:

"Weapons and related items, including but not limited to firearms, disguised, undetectable or switchblade knives, martial arts weapons, scopes, silencers, ammunition, ammunition magazines, BB guns, tear gas or stun guns."

I also did a beginner reloading thread in another forum.  It's here...  http://www.tacticalunderground.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5366

Yeah, it's basic, but that's what I was intending.  Too many folks get intimidated by how involved it all is.  Right now is as good a time as any to start reloading.  You may not be able to save much money (especially if you shoot a lot  ::)  ), but you sure will get better accuracy out of your hand loads.  I do.  I've seen some incredible differences between my factory 9mm and my hand load 9mm.
