Here is an up and comer that I have been hearing like crazy on the radio waves lately. This young lady is showing some promising talent.

Texas
Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

Paradoxically it is those who strive for self-reliance, who remain vigilant and ready to help others.

I truly hate this song. My route took me out to western OK this week, and at 5:30AM, like every freaking morning out there, the only receivable radio station blasts this out. It is not a bad song, AND I know I am 2 hours from Amarillo, AND I know the sunrises at 7:30 or so, but the joke is old man... So old.

I found this one, and really like it.  It is originally a march, but slowed down and played on the piano.  Play this at my funeral.

Then the original being sung, for reference:

This song by Vera Lynn ranks high among my favorites from the WWII era:

In 2007, Vera Lynn released a new album that became the only recording by an artist over 90 years old to make the top 10 in Britain! She was 97.

I've mentioned here before, I could listen to Allison Krauss read the phone book from Budapest.  This is my favorite song from her, and my trusty Minions all agree.  If it comes on the radio while we're traveling, everything comes to a halt, because we're all singing along.

Beautiful.  I've never heard her sound like anything she was doing musically was a strain or even a sour note when she's on the violin.  She's the consummate professional and has quietly moved an entire genre in the direction she chose to lead it.   :thumbup1

This woman has one of the most unique voices I have ever heard. It really has a vintage or vinyl feel to it.

Actually, that song almost got me killed back in 2003.
Had I stopped for a cup of coffee by the weigh station I wouldn't have been on the road to be hit by a guy running from the law, doing  more than a ton and right into my front right wheel.
I was hoping to make Amarillo before rush hour so I could lay over a few days before dropping in Dallas.

Something triggered the memory of this old one today.  Thought I'd share it with those too young to remember it.
