I truly hate this song. My route took me out to western OK this week, and at 5:30AM, like every freaking morning out there, the only receivable radio station blasts this out. It is not a bad song, AND I know I am 2 hours from Amarillo, AND I know the sunrises at 7:30 or so, but the joke is old man... So old.

I've mentioned here before, I could listen to Allison Krauss read the phone book from Budapest. This is my favorite song from her, and my trusty Minions all agree. If it comes on the radio while we're traveling, everything comes to a halt, because we're all singing along.

Beautiful. I've never heard her sound like anything she was doing musically was a strain or even a sour note when she's on the violin. She's the consummate professional and has quietly moved an entire genre in the direction she chose to lead it.

Actually, that song almost got me killed back in 2003.
Had I stopped for a cup of coffee by the weigh station I wouldn't have been on the road to be hit by a guy running from the law, doing more than a ton and right into my front right wheel.
I was hoping to make Amarillo before rush hour so I could lay over a few days before dropping in Dallas.
