Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.

What are the laws on making your own firearms? I know it was no questions asked, but what are the laws on it?

Varies by state, but the short version is:  If you can legally buy it, you can legally make it.  If you wanna make your own suppressor, you gotta get your tax stamp first.

    British debate? Interesting.

Was hoping to watch a debate for once where accusing someone of being a "racist" wasn't a key talking point.

Agreed.  What passes for debate in most British events I've witnessed lately devolves into elaborate posturing and name calling fairly quickly on the part of nearly all concerned.

As has been stated in the video, the intention is not to intimidate. They are not vigilantes. It is an organisation that puts one heck of a spin on the meaning of "support group".

Apologies on the second video. It is actually like 7 min long, but just fades to a red screen/logo and stays there for the remaining 4 minutes.

An interesting looking independent anime-style series... There's a short proof-of-concept vid floating around Facebook starring Ruby Red dismembering a pack of werewolf type critters in a winter setting...
