Their "Nazi Fashion" trend is rather bizarre to say the least.
They've been teaching historical revision very heavily, especially concerning WWII and their role in it, for quite a long time now.

That video was from one of the stranger animes that made it over here. However, the detail in the drawings of the various armored vehicles is quite good.

THIS is a much more gun related anime...actually that's all it's about. It's called "Upotte!" for those who don't want to mess with Hulu - apparently there is an English version out there somewhere.

Gunslinger Girl is excellent, the first season, but Episode 2 makes little sense, replay of the first one. Get through that and it becomes more interesting. Netflix has or had the series in English. It's set in Italy, and the girls are orphans of various kinds given upgraded cyborg bodies and "washed" minds. Their handler is the closest thing to a friend they have. In one episode, Claes, (dark haired girl), tries to shoot accurately with that vp70 stocked subgun, but has difficulty. Her handler tells her in disgust she might as well stay on the range all night until she can get it right. So, she does.
Weapon detail is usually pretty good in most good Japanese anime,. They can never touch the real thing, so they have some of the best fake/airsoft "fire"arms on the market today, getting as close as they can. Gunsmith Cats was another one I haven't had a chance to see, where one of the heroines gun of choice is a CZ 75B.

That's another thing I hate about anime. Why do all the crazy ultra skilled assassins have to be teenage girls? It's such a tired cliche.

Not all the time. Just the ones dubbed into English as they sell better. There are some where the heroes and "bad guys" are men.

I just want them to be adults for a change. Sure there is the occasional one like Cowboy Bebop, for the most part it's always teenagers. Where the hell do these kids find the time to learn all these crazy skills? Especially when they are also attending high school and constantly having stupid relationship drama?
