    I'm staying off H1Z1 until you can properly remap the controls.   :eh

    The developers probably need to work on adding models for a Starbucks location, a driveable Prius, and skinny jeans & and man purses to the player equipment options.  Once those are available in game, then they can release it on Mac.

    It's not a purse, it's a satchel. Indiana Jones has one.

    H1Z1 is coming out on PS4, too, George.  Getting a PS4 might be a better gaming investment then trying to bootcamp or whatever games on a Macintosh.  At least with a console, you can play on the couch and have the family gather round.

    I think H1Z1 is probably a better game than DayZ.  I just haven't played it because you can't remap the controls.  I've been using the same damned control layout since 1997, and it's not WASD, so until they finally add that functionality, they can suck it.

    I hate games that do that.   Basically I still use the same control layout from Duke Nukem 3D with a few modifications due to having a better mouse now.    I cannot play an FPS using the WASD keys,  I need to use the arrow keys or it just won't work.   I imagine it is even worse for you since you are left handed.

    Not really.  I don't use the mouse left-handed.  Never even tried it.

    H1Z1 HAS a screen for remapping the controls, it's just not fully enabled yet.

    I use the control layout from TERMINATOR: Future Shock: SKYNET

    So it was an FPS with an open outdoor world and driveable vehicles, in 1996.

    It's also the last good Terminator game anyone has made. :(

    The basic layout of the controls:

    A = Forward
    LSHIFT = Left
    Z = Backward
    X = Right
    S= Jump
    SPACE = Use
    C = Crouch

    Anyway, here's an interview with one of the developers of DayZ:

    H1Z1 is progressing nicely.  I've played it a little, but the inability to remap the controls at present is a huge annoyance.

    I've taken a hiatus from DayZ until they put zombies back into the game.  They had a huge bug with the previous update, so they were temporarily removed in 0.58 Alpha.  DayZ without zombies is just Day.

    My friends and I bailed on Dayz a while back, it became too much of a grind all the time to do the stuff we wanted to do (like pants banditry haha) we play ARK and the ARMA 2 dayz mod these days.

    Been a while since I checked in on this thread.

    That was probably the largest zombie horde I've ever seen in a zombie video game.

    The gameplay, environment, and especially the starwarsy ending to the video are all very impressive :thumbup1.
