This fortnight's feature was The Desert Rats, rented on Amazon.

Annoyingly, To Hell and Back is not available from Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix.  Have to check the library.

So, the University library has To Hell and Back.  In Remote Storage, so you have to request it.  Oh, and it's on VHS.   :hmm

I didn't plan it this way, but it just worked out: tonight's movie is Sink the Bismarck.

This day in history, 24 May, 1941: The Battle of the Denmark Straight, HMS Hood is sunk by the Bismarck.

IIRC there is a gizmo that will convert VHS to a video file format, seeing as the flick seems hard to find.

I actually still have a VCR.  I retain it for the purpose of watching the original Star Wars trilogy in the un-CGI original version.  That version was never released on DVD or other digital format.  George Lucas' so-called 'improvements' can leck mein Arsch.

    Acktshuallly....

Yeah, I'm gonna be that guy.

There was an extremely limited edition DVD release of the Original Trilogy (as three separate films rather than a single box set) that came with the original films as a "bonus feature" on the second disc in each package. I know this only because I have all three films.

Me? A total Star Wars fanboi? Whatever gave you that idea?
