I carried a Covert folder (3.79" blade - 8.7" overall) for about seven years, only problems I had was the clip bending and getting a little to lose. I took it off and rebent it several times, but meh. Not ideal.
I lost it and bought the large one this time. 4.5" blade and 10.1 overall. I'm a big guy, deep pockets, figured why not - let's give it a try.
Don't love it as much, it's big enough to be TO BIG. It's like trying to use a short sword when you are slicing the tape on boxes to break them down. Sure, it impresses folks - but that doesn't mean much.
And, after about a year of carrying the big knife, I found my covert folder when we were throwing our old couches away. Luckily, I decided to slice open the bottom of the couch to see what was in it and found my much beloved knife.
It's fantastic, the clip still sucks, but it's just the right size.
I HIGHLY recommend it.
I don't recommend sharpening both edges, but you can if you want too.
Here's a picture for reference. The two that are second and third from the left. (Except the Covert Folder has a titanium itride coating which is pretty stout, mine is probably 96% after this many years of normal abuse.)
