I want a new knife, this has been tempting me for a while now.  www.amazon.com/Zero-Tolerance-Unisex-Folder-Carbon/dp/B074CXSGPB/ref=pd_sbs_200_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B074CXSGPB&pd_rd_r=J5ACNYVPYHEAWD8GDZQW&pd_rd_w=wyX1B&pd_rd_wg=C5rJz&refRID=J5ACNYVPYHEAWD8GDZQW
But not dropping $200 on a knife right now.

So maybe the Kershaw version www.amazon.com/Kershaw-Stonewash-Features-SpeedSafe-Reversible/dp/B06XJCH6TC/ref=pd_sbs_200_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B06XJCH6TC&pd_rd_r=801MDJVDKZRABPJ1VTEZ&pd_rd_w=pbjnB&pd_rd_wg=i1kKz&psc=1&refRID=801MDJVDKZRABPJ1VTEZ
$35 is a bit more do able.

I like the looks of that Reverb, but I am only carrying 3" or longer knives.

Utility knife handles the smaller blade chores.  www.amazon.com/Stanley-10-810-Quickslide-Utility-Shipping/dp/B0161BXPJO/ref=pd_sbs_469_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0161BXPJO&pd_rd_r=WCP8PJ56C7E3R64REKBF&pd_rd_w=QQMeu&pd_rd_wg=dk4VN&psc=1&refRID=WCP8PJ56C7E3R64REKBF

Yes I do carry three knives most of the time.  And three flashlights.

I stopped carrying my flashlight  :banghead . I carry a couple of knives on me as well, so that's not odd. One for self defense and one for utility.

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

Paradoxically it is those who strive for self-reliance, who remain vigilant and ready to help others.

Kershaw is releasing more versions of the Natrix (based on the ZT 0777):

I can't wait for the copper handled one with D2 steel:

Or even better, an American-made version:

Not assisted opening, neither of them.  So none will end up in my pocket.  Flippers are a no go for my EDC.  I need to be able to have a knife open when I need it even if I am using my non-dominate hand.  I do not want to have to explain legality of auto's, so assisted opening is a personal requirement.

Yeah, it is on the small side, but when you're prohibited from carrying over a certain length on campus...

This is my EDC, right now: https://www.amazon.com/Columbia-River-Knife-Tool-5311/dp/B01N3CG3KJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1521811398&sr=8-1&keywords=crkt+pilar&dpID=31ClWgrm95L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Good stout blade, very similar to a fixed design I've drawn up and am trying to get everything together to make.

I'll do stock removal from a radial saw blade for the prototypes, but if the design works, I intend to forge them (maybe from 5160? or 1085?).
