Benchmade Crooked River
« on: June 16, 2017, 09:47:27 pm »
Benchmade Crooked River. Its a folding Bowie knife. For a folder, its large... hand filling... and ruggedly handsome in a woody way. The S30V blade is technically a saber-ground clip point... blah blah blah... its a folding Bowie.
The treated wood looks great, and the steel bolsters help give the knife a nice finished look.
I dig the orange ring around the axle... distinctive.
The blade is seriously sharp. Hair. Popping. Sharp. Don't let Jesse play with it sharp.
I really dig this knife.
A lot.

May have to look into it, but I'm sure it's out of my price range.

Do we forget that cops were primarily still using 6 Shot Revolvers well through the mid 80's? It wasn't until after 1986 that most departments then relented and went to autos.
Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.
Ray Chapman, used to say that the 125-grain Magnum load’s almost magical stopping power was the only reason to load .357 instead of .38 Special +P ammunition into a fighting revolver chambered for the Magnum round. I agree. - Massad Ayoob

Haven't handled it yet but I really dig it. Not that I need more knives, but that hasn't stopped me before. I like big folders and I cannot lie.
I'm not saying you should use an M1A for home defense, but I'm also not saying you shouldn't.
