Brief searching on google seems to indicate that it was a temporary paint job to bring attention to something or another.
Oh, Bog.
Can we as a society just stop it and get over the virtue signaling ritual of wearing colored ribbons, hats, shirts, et al for the supposed purpose of "raising awareness" about whatever the cause du jure may be?
Those who care, care and are doing something about it.
Those who don't, don't and at most will wear the crappy little ribbon for a day or two just to get people off their backs.
Next time I'm asked to wear a pink ribbon for "Breast Cancer Awareness" I think I'm going to respond with, "Wear that to support Breast Cancer? Sure! I'm all for it. I'm more of a "Legs" man anyway."
