Short: Any other new converts to the cult of Canik? Recommendations for a place to find mags for them?
Story mode:
I was going through a dilemma. My run and gun skills had plateaued or even atrophied, and interest in keeping them up was waning.
1> Take my current Glock 22 down to the local armorer and get a trigger, threaded barrel, new slide to mill for optics, etc etc etc to make the old ford run like a new corvette.
2> Start over with a modern full size 9mm: CZ-75 variant VS Walther PPQ, train up with a new platform, then upgrade as necessary.
3> Something else.
I spent some time with different shooting friends who own and preach both CZ and Walther. I liked the Walther triggers, I liked the balance and everything except the trigger in a CZ.
I went into several local shops and performed the laying on of hands, and was still undecided.
One shop, noting my dilemma pulled out a surprise option 3:
A striker fired, polymer base full size 9mm, that with out upgrades was a pretty sweet runner.
Then they pulled out the top model, with Salient match barrel, Salient flat trigger, +3 mag extension, adjustable backstraps, adjustable mag release, suppressor-ready, optics-ready, and less than $700.
I had read articles recently about Canik's reliability and improvements, and was at least curious.
After handling the new Canik just once, I am now the proud owner of a Canik TP9 Elite Combat Executive.
Back to the question: Any recommendations on someplace to find Canik Mags? Specifically the 15 and +3 extension?
