Best One Handed Shot Ive Made
« on: October 10, 2009, 04:43:06 pm »
My submission was when I was shooting a combat course during a SWAT training day.  Towards the end of the course you had to move from cover to another piece of cover.  There was a small pie plate steel target halfway between the two pieces of cover and the range was about 7-10 yards.  You could shoot on the move if you wanted or you could run to the next cover and shoot from there.

I had decided from watching others run the course the best course was just to run but I decided to run and shoot one handed hoping but not expecting to hit anything.  I figured to shoot accurately from the second piece of cover.

So I get to that point in the course.  My Glock 17 is in my primary hand and I get up and sprint for the next shooting position.  I fired one round one handed at a dead run and hit the pie plate dead center.  I almost stopped in disbelief.  :o   The guy running the course had to tell me to keep going.

I still can't believe I made that shot!  I'll never replicate that one.

If you did it once, you can do it most anytime.
    You have become the bullet.
Just believe it and you can, obviously.
It's only disbelief and doubt that prevents folks from doing stuff they could otherwise do.
