I've been packing my Match Champion lately, with great satisfaction.  It carries well, being 4" instead of 5".  And its been open carried.
It has caused people to comment, all positive comments.
The big old school wood grips really stand out.

The good news is it costs quite a bit less than a Match Champion, probably a hundred dollars or so.

I have been saving 10% of my income, not spent on the house for gun fund, total savings in the last 8 months $0.  Anticipated savings over the next three months $0.

I would be tempted to get a set of the MC grips to put on the 5" GP100.  Blue steel and wood is my favorite gun look.

I love the look of those Match Champion wood grips and immediately tried them on my GP100 but they were too slick for me in winter with cold, dried out hands. Strangelittleman had ground down the finger grooves on a set of grippy rubber Hogues and gave them to me the same time he gave me the wooden ones and they work great.

I like the original GP100 grip (Lett) and the Altamont copy.  I actually like the Altamont a little better.  Dimensionally it looks the same, and the same grip panels fit, but it feels subtly different in the hand.  It's about perfect for me.
