Bulk AR parts supplier?
« on: February 13, 2019, 08:29:21 pm »
Can anyone point me in the direction of a bulk supplier of the myriad assortment of small parts on an AR?
I'm talking bench stock type parts such as detents, roll pins, ect.  Not bolt carrier groups and so forth.
I'm tired of places that want $3 for a single pin or detent.

Be nice to just buy a bag of 100 (or 50) and toss them in a parts bin and not have to sweat it.

I'd say hit up any type of "missing pieces kit".

I don't remember where but I picked up a "oops kit" I believe it was titled.  20 apiece detent pins, springs, buffer spring detent, etc. and I think I paid $30 for 20 apiece of everything.

Palmetto State Armory, Primary Arms,  AIM Surplus, Brownells, and Tom's Tactical are my usual spots for AR parts.

But I don't know how small an order they are interested in.  You might need to buy like 10K or even 100K to get their interest.

Beyond that, call any of the typical suppliers and see if they will deal.  Another place to maybe try is Delta Team Tactical.  Not the source of great quality big parts, they clearly have figured out the cheap side.  I have used their LPK's before and they seem fine for recreational use small parts.

Yeah often places will deal if you call and ask them, even if the exact thing you are looking for isn't available on their site.   For example, I needed a bunch of FAL pistons and some other parts several years ago, and the guys at Tapco made me a deal for buying like 10 of them.
