SART Conference, DFW and Topeka
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:22:37 pm »
A friend told me she's off to a couple of conferences for certification for the local SART they're forming.  Sexual Assault Reaction Team.
She'll have to spend a week in Dallas-Fort Worth, and Topeka, KS.
I believe the DFW conf. is next week.

A few questions for the learned board, if I may:

Where are good places for 4-6 intelligent, well-educated, professional women to go?
They're not out for a wild time, but haven't been to either city.  These are E.R. and Psych ward personnel, mostly.  A few of the local LE may be going, too.

Where is the best place to eat?

Perhaps (to me) most importantly, where should they AVOID?
Any info anyone has would be very welcome.

In advance, thank you.

If they are with local LEO in Topeka, they will keep them out of the areas they should not go.
Otherwise,   Blind Tiger is pretty decent.  nice rest with micro brewery.   there are the usual run of chain rest.   or they could run up north of Topeka about 15 minutes and go to the Prairie Band casino,  safe location, good food, shows, gambling, etc.
