Maybe we could have a jobs thread with staff approval, one for openings and one for what you are looking for.

My agency is trying to fill an evidence tech position and then soon after an assistant to same. More on salary etc later. Also several patrol positions (certified only, not sending anyone thru the academy) soon to open

Interview went very good. I was obviously overqualled on most things. This was a weeding out interview from my take on it. Only thing is I don't have a management degree. But my background experience has a lot of supervision experience and my current job experience on top of that.
    Keep praying.
    And thanks for the support.

Good luck my friend. I hear what you're saying. Until recently, I've been on the hunt since April 1st when my company moved out of town. Everything I've found and/or interviewed for have been lacking in either salary or level. I am an experienced manager and team lead w/ sales, service, marketing, and fine art & design experience.
I learned all of these skills through hard work and Diligence. But I don't have a degree, so I get passed over on the really "good" careers. I too, am overqualified for most of the spots.

I ended up taking a job at a retail store that pays more than my unemployment, but two days in and I want to poke my eyes out w/ my own crkt eat'n tool.

I say again, good luck and I hope you get everything you want out of it.

If you wish for peace, prepare for war.

A battalion commander of the 23rd Regiment 2nd Infantry Division reported during Operation Cobra, the long awaited breakout from St. Lo (July 1944):

"I have no water, I have no chow, I have no batteries for my radio, I have no communication. My men are dead dog tired. I repeat, my men are dead dog tired. I have been given an order to attack. I am about to comply with this order. End of message."

Well, communications companies are hiring in Indiana.
Not to let the cat out of the bag for what I do for a living, but since you are praying.

Well, looks like I am not in the final two. At least I made the effort. I'm rooting for one of the other guys.
    Hope he gets it.
Plenty of other opportunities still available.
