Hollywood Tax Earmark
« on: February 03, 2009, 11:33:33 pm »
The idiocy continues. 45 people voted to keep a $246m tax break for Hollywood production companies in a stimulus package. I'm all for tax breaks when applies, and even the abolishment of most taxes, but I don't see why the rest of us should still have to suffer when Hollywood has the right friends to make the right deals.

Take a look at the 45 nay votes ... fortunately both mine voted yea - to strike the tax break.

If I saw a guy with a 60cu/ft safe filled to the brim with nothing but Jennings, Lorcins and Hi-Points, I'd look at the guy and say "Right on brother".

Clinton signed something back then that exempted movie stars and pro athletes from paying some tax. I'll see if I can find it. That certainly needs to be revoked.
