Title: Finally . . .
Post by: coelacanth on July 25, 2020, 01:02:32 pm
After 103 days without measurable rainfall we finally got some relief here late yesterday.  Late afternoon and early evening showers developed around the Phoenix area yesterday and the final tally in the rain gauge was 3/8ths of an inch at my house.  Lots of lightning and a gorgeous rainbow from the rays of the setting sun so we had a show along with the badly needed moisture.   :thumbup1

We (North central Texas) had a summer like that five or so years ago. It was bad. Lakes dried up, lots of wild fires, ranchers couldn't feed their animals, ect. Glad y'all got some relief.

Yup.  Good bit of rain in the eastern parts of the state in the last week and quite a bit up by the Grand Canyon over the last two days.  Phoenix is always dry and the monsoon hits late here more often than not.  We'll get a bit more before its over but we count anything over 10 inches of rain a wet year.
