Hahaha! Me too! Just seven more years form December 1st...but we will never be able to leave this stuff and this lifestyle alone. Its who we are and we can't peel it off like a dirty shirt. It goes beyond our jobs. SLM you've always been this way since you were a single digit narrow ass little kid hunting all living things on our mountain with your Crossman pump gun.
Dec,01, 2023 and I'm done! (Unless I get s___-canned before then!  ;) )

May 17, 2024 for me, unless I re-up in our deferred retirement system. In truth, I probably won't go. I am in a position where I do work (defined as wolfhunting) when there is work, and I can leave the street drudgery to the FNGs. This paper doesn't push itself, but if there is fun on the radio it can darned well wait until next shift.

Of course, if I end up with some retirement gig like running a gun company, I can hit eject any time after that date. Ha. Right.

My eligible date is April 1, 2016.

of course the wife says I can't retire unless I have another full time job to go to,  plus this position is not to bad on the work load.  got a office full of youngsters I can tell to "go get em".

Of course killing is never appropriate to that person.  Otherwise, wise persons would have snuffed that writer long ago. :bash

Innit that a great thing? Some jobs you do yourself, other jobs you want a 2 year slick-sleeve that likes nothing more than filling out forms on a computer screen.
