Better than those cheap MTM cases.
Hey, I remember when I was reloading ammo for money on the side "Crafting Custom Taylored Ammunition" I would put 10 rounds in a silver Cigar or Cigarette case (depending on caliber) and sell that for 200 bucks.  100 bucks for the load developement, 100 for the rounds.  Next order for the same gun, I'd only charge 100 bucks to refill the case.  But this upset some guys because they wanted another case!   I couldn't bear to tell them the cases I got for 10 bucks a pop.

Kind of fun, for one's Kryptonite-tipped, unobtainium-cased rounds for your Samaritan, maybe (but the box would have to be quite a bit bigger).

If you go the the Store portion of the site, you'll see that one of those boxes cost nearly a grand-o.  That's a bit off the charts for an ammo box, eh?

Boy, do I feel shabby with my little plastic boxes for reloading.  Whodathunk it?  Ammo boxes as an art form.

    I like it!

Are people not satisfied with just a green, milsurp can? I can think of better things to spend nine hundred dollars on....like more ammo, or another gun. Still, it looks cool.

Okay, I agree with all of the above ... but...

It would look cool filled with nice shiny ammo sitting on a nice coffee table ... might make us look a little less 'nutty'. We have fine tastes too. ;)

Since no one has posted any pictures, I'll take it upon myself to do so. ;D

... Is this a fake? It looks like that bullet screws right into the case?  ???
ETA: My bad. That's what is for sale, the fake bullets. They sell a complete line of shiny replica bullets for you to stock their products with. $9 apiece. Personally I'd be stocking it with real bullets. ;D

...And of course it had to be from Italy.

Talk about useless crap you do not need, like the replica screw-in cartridge.  The only person I would picture in my mind buying an 18-carat cartridge would be a Mexican drug lord to make a necklace out of.

But these boxes are still not as awesome as storing ammo in green ammo cans.  These do not look as manly as those green cans with yellow stencil that say:  100 LIKNED CARTRIDGES BALL M2 .50  (or something to that effect).

My stacked high boxes, each containing 1080 rounds of 5.45x39mm goodness are much more pretty.

They're pointless from a practical perspective, but I like 'em.  I wouldn't bother to pay $990 for one though.  I'm a cabinetmaker. I'll make one.

I thought the same thing. Get a plate of glass and someone that can drill glass ... and bingo. Attaching two plates of glass isn't all that hard.
