This is where almost anything is better than American stick framing. Mud, logs, adobe, stone, brick, timberframe with rubble infill, concrete, etc.  Although I suspect that if the insulation was taken out, and the space between the studs was filled with sand, it would work very well.

Mine is slump block so I'm pretty much good for anything up to heavy rifle rounds unless something sails out through a window or a door.

My house is NOT bullet proof. A couple of years ago at 3:00am, I got a knock on the door from a couple of deputies from my local Sheriff's office. Long story short, my neighbor's nut-job wife tried to murder him. They fought over the gun (.38spl loaded with Winchester silvertips) and when it off, the bullet went through a bunch of clothes they had hanging on an interior door, through the interior door, through the interior wall, out the exterior wall, sailed across both or our yards, into my exterior wall and left a huge bubble on my interior wall.

Nut-job is still in prison.

If I ever get to build a custom house,  I'd kind of like to do it out of concrete like this one.

Actually, the older ones ( circa 1978  )  seem to be slightly heavier than the current stuff.
