Missouri Permitless Concealed Carry
« on: October 11, 2016, 12:02:29 pm »
With the Legislatures over ride of the Governors  veto, we here in Missouri will enjoy permitless concealed carry starting January 1 2017. They are a little late for me. I've been doing it for a couple of decades now. Who new? Obviously no one.
This has been an issue with Missouri voters for a couple of years now. Well with Governor Nixon's veto of the Legislatures bill, they were able to pony up enough votes this time to override his heavy handedness. More freedom every day here in the Show Me State, the Upper Southern State.

Glad to see it.  I still have my Kansas permit, but it is nice to see Missouri joining us on dropping the requirement.

Very cool.  I'm not very likely to travel there, but it's one less think to worry about.  It's so nice not having a permit but when I think about the little nuances of state laws and federal laws, I can appreciate having the permit.  For instance, Utah's permit allows me to carry at Schools.  In a permitless state, I'm assuming you still can't care at schools because of federal law.  I'd probably still end up getting the permit anyway just to save the $7.50 fee for the background check.
