Block 19 lego pistol

Not really lego, but caused a bit of a stir.

I'd have kept it on the market out of spite after the cease amd desist letter.  No copyright, trademark, or patent violations, so nothing Lego can legally do about ot.

It's more the "real gun that has the appearance of a toy gun possibly being present in a Bad Situation" thing... the polar opposite of a toy gun looking like a real gun swinging all the way around to being just as bad an idea.

I would say even worse than a toy gun that looks like a real one.  In that case, at worst, some poor kid gets shot by law enforcement by mistake.  With this, law enforcement officers would (not might, Would) end up dying for lack of awareness.

    Seems backwards to me.

    1.  The officer is trained to be aware of his environment and should no more assume that something that looks toy-like is a toy than they should assume something that looks gun-like is a gun.

    2.  The officer is paid to take these risks in the pursuit of citizens rights.  If their policies and procedures trample the rights of citizens, then they are become the very thing they are sworn to prevent.

The poor kid was just unlucky enough to have parents that didn't teach them.
