Holster Making Supplies
« on: May 05, 2014, 11:10:30 am »
I know there are some of us around here who dabble in holster making. For me it's been kydex only so far, and only competition holsters.

Now I want to build a hybrid IWB for my G19. I went to the local Hobby Lobby to try and find a chunk of leather to use as a backer, but they didn't have anything thick or stiff or big enough. Anyone know where I can get maybe a remnant (like 12"x12") of some good thick leather. I only need one for right now, and I have the kydex and other hardware.

I have a source for fairly inexpensive Kydex.  It runs about $2 a square foot when available.  I haven't been able to find Kydex 100 for less.  It only comes in light grey, but it turns out that isn't a bad color for holster.
