My laptop as been hanging up lately  (Windows XP). Where do I put the Slipstream?

Anywhere there is metal on metal contact.  Like on a pistol, the slide and frame rails, barrel, oil on the internals where there are moving parts.  There are some good videos that the GunDoctor posted on Youtube.  Watch these videos:

:doh I meant that Windows is hanging up, you know, on the inside. Guess that  one needed a better setup...

Seriously?  Drive bays and the rails and the laser guide raceways... Disassemble the fans and you can slipstream the fans... I suspect Slipstream Grease would make a great heatsink compound.

    From the original Slipstream thread.
It will creep around and distribute itself to where you want it to go. Just remember to shake up the oil before use. The true lube in there will settle after a while.

I didn't notice this with the original "sample kit" because the little containers are pretty short. Never shook it up.

When my real kit with the needle-tip applicators showed up, I noticed the magic stuff did settle almost completely. You can see a thick dark layer on the bottom, and the rest of the oil is almost transparent.

So I shook it. And shook it. And shook it. I turned it upside down and shook it. That sludge didn't budge much. I set the bottle on it's side and let it settle that way, thinking the layer would be thinner and easier to shake up. No dice. The stuff stuck to the side just like the bottom. The oil was still plenty effective, and looked right when it came out of the needle tip, or so I thought.

Today, I was cleaning and lubing one of the two new P6's and I had had enough of the magic ingredient being so persistently lazy. I began to wonder how to mix this stuff up without wasting a ton of it. Then I thought about the ball in a spray paint can. So I went and grabbed a 1/4" steel shot ball I have for my slingshot, dropped it in the bottle and shook the hell out of it. It still took a minute or two of shaking and turning and shaking some more. But when it came out of the tip, that stuff was nice and opaque, almost black. That new Sig has a load of voodoo-infused oil in it. I even took off the grips to really get it in there.

Lesson of the day, drop a steel ball bearing or shot in the bottle and mix it with that.

also, suggestion for Crusader. Give folks the option of tub or needle-tip when they order. I use a lot more of the lube from my tub than the needle-tip, because I apply it to broad shiny areas with a cue-tip. But I doubt I'll ever use the oil from the sample kit, because that's where the needle tip shines. I'll have to figure out how to get the sample kit into the bottle when the oil bottle runs out. Quite a ways off, but I'm using a lot of this stuff lately.

Actually, the new oil bottles have a ball in them.  I just got one from the Gundoctor a few days ago.  It shook up really well.  I also have one of the sample kits, and I'll use the tub of lube until it's gone.  When the oil gets low, I'll just add the sample kit I have to the new needle tipped bottle.

Yeah, sorry I'm a little slow tonight. There is a steel shot in the new bottles. Marshal Dodge suggested it a few months ago and there was shot in the bottles by the end of the day. Can't say we don't act to good suggestions. We try to get it out there asap.

Can Slipstream be used as a personal lubricant?

The postmon delivered me slipstream yesterday an I gave it a test run onna some uv me kit an bonny right arms. Laird. The inky stuff does a truly fine trick with locks an triggers. I don't approve of the unholy way it flows and runs like it hasza mind ah itsown, sinister like some pagan summoned deamon blood...Aye. Unnatural it is. But I done made up me mind te tolerate the ghasty look ah the stuff acause it made the parts it touched turn an work like some foppish dandy done had em polished inna London custom fusil shop. Naer seen a potion wot does this.  Like they was polished by some landed man's trusted jack-dandy pistol smith I testify. Done spoilt me nae. Imma arder another needle-tipped vial. Me oils an tallow are set te be bannished to outside ah me mechanisms. Made me clockwark doorbell sound off proper too an thass no slight stunt.
The devil spit does have me firm pleased bout it.  Perfect gift fer me rifle shootin comrades. Mite have Father Donovan say some wards over it though...bloody underwarld look it has. Makes ah body think the men done snatched ah bucketful the hoary fluid from the everdark Styx itseff.

Musket, did you just get the oil or the kit?

And be careful with the exorcism. If you insist on doing it, make sure you put it in a fume hood or blast cabinet- Slipstream doesn't like to be exorcised. Make sure you and and the Padre wear your eye pro. Also, when you remove the evil, it removes a lot of the effectiveness.

I ardered the needle-topped vial ah the oil by itsef, as I was too dim-witted to scroll down the way to see where the kit was offered. Nae Imma sore wanting te try the well-liked grease. Folks that are known to be able to find thar backsides wiffout help already saysz it does the arts. I am full well delighted wif the oil-devil spit stuff, so Iffn the grease has the same unclean taint it can't disappoint me.

Father Donovan'll just say some wards to keep the hoary an forbidden energy confined to the fluid.

The grease is the s___. I only use the oil when the grease won't fit into tight spaces between little parts, like trigger parts and springs. The oil penetrates and distributes well, so that's when I use it.

As far as the forbidden energy goes, it isn't powerful enough to turn your guns against you, or make them pull their own triggers, so the Padre's blessing oughta be good enough.
