You forgot to mention "oodles of free time" in the resources Keanu has at his disposal.  ;)

Having recently moved back into a Republican stronghold, I've actually been enjoying the looks I get when I tell someone straight up "I'm a liberal with a concealed carry permit."

I can now describe the expression of brainlock, as some people try and process that - some fail, some succeed.   It really isn't that hard to explain, though - there are rights we all have (one of those being the 2A), and that we should all have, and sometimes, it is necessary to use that right to defend other rights.

It really does amuse me how both liberals and conservatives fight tooth and nail to promote and defend their pet 'rights,' and then turn around and fight just as hard to curtail the rights that they don't like.  I can agree with both parties' civil and natural rights promotion on just about everything other than abortion 'rights.'  Similarly, most every time either party is seeking to curtail rights, I am opposed.  Where it comes to one person's rights vs. another's rights, I favor freedom of self determination for all parties.

I'm a liberal that is responsibly armed.... Classically liberal  :cool.

Regarding Keanu, I really think it's a non-issue  :shrug. He's Hollywood, he owns and uses guns; we should celebrate this. He also trains which is great, we all should. He has also demonstrated skill in the shooting sports and his work was impressive, to try and diminish this seems petty. So he has money, time, and available training; what, so we are going to disparage him? What kind of jealous class war is that? "Oh, you have money and means, so your hours of practice don't count..." *continue bitter handwringing and grumbling*.

I'm just happy there is another guy out there applying themselves on the range and enjoying the same sports we do. Why can't we all just get along?

Capacity wasn't really an issue then... and honestly really it's not even an issue now.

No one's trying to bring him down here. I was trying to angle this towards the guys who are all but wetting themselves on social media because he's doing an awesome job behind the trigger. They make it sound like anyone else would find that level of shooting impossible. He's just a regular guy shooting 3 gun. Wasn't trying to disparage the guy.

Ah, then we are on the same page  :cool.

It's nice to see because he is Hollywood, but Jerry Miculek he ain't  ;).

His skill does exceed mine, however.

What! Jerry seems like one of the most humble, nicest people you could ever meet. Just your run of the mill, trigger happy grandfather.

I sure hope my impression is true to life. I'd hate to think otherwise :hide.

I know everything depends on the day.   A guy I know met Jerry and said he was an awesome guy to hang out with  :shrug  Maybe caught him on a good day

As someone who is doing a trade show this week...  Give the guy some slack.  You have done SHOT, I believe, but for those who have never done a show, the days get Long.  10-12 hour days, interacting with the public... :o

At the show I am doing this week, we have a local sports 'celebrity' who is getting paid to appear at a booth across the aisle for two hours a day.  For those two hours, that guy is swamped.  Now, Jerry is extremely popular in the gun community, so His SHOT is going to be like that, all day/every day.  I pity him.  Your friend was but one in a loooong line of starry eyed gunnies who wanted to shake his hand that day.

That's what I have thought about it too. A celebrity blowing you off at a big show can't be because he's having a good day.

Ain't no such thing as a 'good day' for a celebrity at a show... ;)  Especially one with a face as recognizable as his.  Poor Jerry...

Jerry is a great guy.  I've talked with him on several occasions.  He's always been a gentlemen and a scholar.
If someone bumped into him and he wasn't being the nice guy he always is...  This could be a perception issue or he was just caught when he was in a rush.

From everything I've heard, Mr Reeves is a fairly nice guy as well.

He has pretty good gun handling skills. While not superhero level, quite good by anyone's definition, my own included. Could any reasonable person reach that level? Sure. Do they? Not extremely often. Hats off to him for getting in practice, a double hats off for moving away from the CAR gun-fu he was practicing in John Wick 1. Hopefully the next movie is even better. Say what you will, but John Wick 1 spent the perfect amount of time dealing with the plot (about 15 minutes) followed by nothing but action.

I've always liked Mr. Reeves. Neat to know that he is actually a skilled shooter as well.
He is also a decent bassplayer which gives him bonus points in my book. :D

I always tell people that I'm not much for movies. Just not a movie guy I guess :shrug. I'm calling it, I believe John Wick is my favourite movie. It took research, time, and comparison; but yes. If not my all time favourite, it's my favourite action movie.

Same here. I catch more and more subtle things each time I watch it such as his tattoo of "Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat ( also spelled "Juvat")," which translates to "Fortune Favors the Bold/Brave." This is the motto of the 3rd Battalion/3rd Marines in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. It hints at a Marine Corps background for his character.

I can't wait for the sequel.
