Deals on Fin rebuilds/captures?

   Ok guys:

 
Fin rebuilt by Tikka M91, 1942 barrel.  $325 shipped.

 
  plain jane 1943 Mosin-Nagant with Finn capture marks. $160 shipped.

Whattayall think?  Both have matching numbers.

  I don't need a mosin, but I've always wanted a Finn-used rifle, not necessarily a M39.    The M91/30 is about $20 over average price and it has a cleaning rod, I am thinking on it as the "SA" stamp is worth $20 to me.   I'd say the M91 is a tad overpriced since it doesn't have a cleaning rod?

  Opinions?    guy is wanting to know sorta/somewhat soon and I was curious what the hive here thought.

    Not a Mosin-Nagant expert, but I would concur: the M91 is a bit pricey (depending on the original manufacturer, a Chatellerault  or Sestroryetsk being very desirable) and the 91/30 seems reasonable enough if that is what you want. The price includes shipping, yes?

    I purchased a Finn M91 for less than a $100 at a consignment auction a couple of years ago. Prices might be a little stronger now, but not that much stronger.

    I would also factor in what ever the FFL charges you for the transfer as well. I think the 91/30 is over priced based soley on those pictures. The M91 is a bit harder to come by. Again hard to tell with just those pictures, where and when it was made can make a big difference especially if you are looking for something specific.

    Check the bores, the firing pins, and extractors.
    Some of the Mosins/variants I have seen had demilled pins and had missing/broken extractors.
    Not to worry though.
    Plenty of replacement bolt assemblies on Amazon.
    Just be sure the bore is clean and still has rifling.
    Did they come with kits? If not. Get one.
    The go/no-go gauge for the firing pin at least.
    Look on the forums here as there are a lot of Mosin fanboys, me included.
    And if you want good surplus ammo in 7.62x54R, go to www.aimsurplus.com while the ammo is still cheap.

      Yeah I think I'm passing.  I love mosin's (got a few+ some as investments) and fins in particular, but both are "eh" deals.

       I'm gonna make a counter-offer AKA: if it don't sell I'll give you XXX deal.

      he says they've got excellent bores, no pitting, strong rifling and not dark.

    They are not exactly deals on either one.  I would wait for a good, clean M39.  I had one, sold it, and have regretted it ever since.
