Suppressor preferences

With the possibility of the HPA passing, I want to get my ducks in a line to know which models I am going to go after when it does. (and maybe one or two before)

Of the three following categories, post which make and model you would choose, and any first hand experiences with them that you have:

-.22 rimfire
-5.56
-.30 caliber

Lightweight models are much preferred.  I do not own any full auto weapons, so they do not need to be rated for such.

    I have a SilencerCo Omega. I use it on a 5.56 rifle exclusively as of now. No .30 caliber rifle in the arsenal. It's a great can. Light weight and pretty short if you use the direct thread mount that comes with it and take off the anchor brake and use a flat end cap (extra bucks). But with the ASR mount and anchor brake, it's still great. I attach it with a muzzle brake that stays on my rifle. Awesome can. I still need to shoot it on a .30 caliber gun soon to test it. But being on a 5.56 rifle, there is almost no gas in the face, and it's nice a quiet. Hearing safe with the ammo I've shot with it and a 16" barrel.

    .22 rimfire I have a Griffin Armament Checkmate QD in ATF jail. So I can't say much about that one. I just really like the 3 lug QD mount that comes with it.

    I wouldn't get a dedicated 5.56 can unless the HPA passes, its an expensive item that only lets you shoot 5.56 and you don't get much increase in performance vs. shooting 5.56 out of a .30cal can. I just look for maximum usability with an item that is such a pain in the butt to get. Now if the HPA passes I'm getting a few k-style 556 cans for sure!
    Check out the SiCo Hybrid, its a little smaller/lighter than the Omega and has great performance, it also can work on pistols which is nice. I really like mine it an excellent do it all can with few compromises and is very light! I didn't realize how heavy my Specwar was until I put the Hybrid on for the first time.  DeadAir Sandman S is another good candidate but you get less flexibility than with the Hybrid but is supposed to be more durable, sadly I can't tell you much more as I haven't got to shoot mine yet as its in NFA jail still. I also have a Specwar from SiCo which is very effective, it might do a better job at silencing than the Hybrid but not much and its nearly twice as heavy.

    For the .22lr can you want to make sure you get one where it seals the crud away from the walls of the can. I got a sparrow and it is SUPER easy to get apart to clean and works very well! I'm waiting on the DeadAir Ghost stamp to come back so I can't say yet how good it is but its baffle stack is supposed to seal and come out easily.

    I`m also looking into getting a can, but i`m wanting a dedicated can for my RGTS. But i dont want a direct thread, since in VT we cant hunt with suppressors. Im doing my reasearch and so far i have looked at AAC, Surefire and SilencerCo. Any other suggestions would be appreciated..

    Like I have been for the last few weeks.

    I'm looking at getting a threaded .22 pistol and a suppressor. I might wait for HPA, I might just go for it.

    My overall favorite suppressor for 5.56/30 Cal is the Silencerco Omega. This suppressor is capabable of handling mag dumps.  The other one I would consider for precision would be the Thunderbeast Ultra.  Great for precision, not great mag dumps.

    On the .22LR front, You can't go wrong with the Silencerco Sparrow, Dead-Air Mask, or the Thunderbeast .22Takedown.  I have tried all 3 and all are great.

    I personally own the Omega and the Sparrow.  I wanted to get a Mask and a 22 Takedown but I don't have a need yet. More than likely, I will be adding another Omega and another Sparrow to my collection.  And then possibly an Omega 9k or Omega 45k.

    On the .22LR front, one of the big things that Dead Air and Thunderbeast market is the lack of a first round pop.  For some people, this is important.

    I use a Smith Enterprise .30 caliber Wind Talker on my 7.62x51 M14s, 300 BO & 5.56 ARs, and 7.62x39 AKs.
    All of the rifles are equipped with a DC Vortex flash hider.

    I recently picked up a Ti RANT .45 for my 45 ACP Glock, and 9mm Glock & Kel Tec.

    I am currently shopping for a light weight suppressor for 22 LR & 22 WMR...
