WTS: 1983 Yamaha Virago 920 for parts
« on: August 05, 2009, 11:13:55 am »
I bought this bike and rode it a while. 1983 Yamaha Virago 920. It ran very well and then started backfiring and dieing. I have worked on it and replaced stuff until I am tired. Will sell for parts. It has bags, a windscreen, engine bars and is a nice looking bike.

No shipping. It is located in Farmington, Missouri.

$750.00 firm, cash.

david.dennis@att.net

Also most parts for an 82 Virago 920 including engine, tank, seat, etc. Throw this in with other bike. Wiring harness is not there for the 82.

I have the title for both bikes.

Try replacing the TCI yet?  Other thing I did to keep mine going was clean all the electrical terminals and then spray them with a de-oxidizer.  Doing that brought my horn back to life and made the headlight much brighter.

    Wish I were closer.

Yes, did all that and still could not find the culprit. Gave up.

I'd be all over that if it weren't so far to Missouri that I'd spend more on gas to get it than the price of the bike.
