I'm out. I was just informed that this is Father's Day weekend. Mysterious "things" are already planned starting that Friday after work and I was promised that I'll be killed in my sleep if I miss them.

Anyone who wants to bring some sub-sonic 9mm (147 or 158 grain) is more than welcome to shoot my Sig 229 or Glock 19 with my Silencerco 9Osprey. I may even bring my Beretta 92FS, but we'll have to swap out the suppressor piston to use it, if I do. I'll also bring several threaded .22s and my SWR Spectre for some "hollywood quiet" fun.

I'm probably gonna wind up booking separate from everyone else. Don't want to seem rude, but a) I'm far enough away that I'm seriously considering driving down Friday afternoon, staying all day Saturday, and then driving home Sunday morning, and I don't think anyone else is going to be staying that long, and b) I can only really afford a cheap hotel, and I don't want y'all to have to suffer with me if turns out to be a dive.

I called a few places but couldn't get any deals. I looked online and it looks like Rodeway is the cheapest at 60 a night.

After Memorial day I am heading to Denver... Then down to Texas.
So there is a good chance we wont make it.

It's pretty damn cool, I can attest. Way cooler than it seems like it would be. I was kind of 'meh' until I got my hands on one. Then I couldn't get enough of it.

With all the guys calling off, I went back and looked to see if I could make it happen... And it still looks like I'm out.

IF something changes at the last minute, (which is as like as not, around my place) what would the policy be on getting the group rate at the range?

I'm not even implying that I might be there, just asking...

Well that sucks, was looking forward to shooting with you again, it has been a while. As it sits I haven't requested the day off from work yet and was informed there is a chance I won't get the day since we will have people coming in for a big inventory thing at work. But I am still going to try to make it.

With Jim across the country and the truck fresh out of the shop from a motor swap I wouldn't feel comfortable making the trek with two kids alone......it sucks

With so many pulling out, should we try to schedule for another time? Still could work for me for the June date, but it's a long way for me and I can't do it often. Would like to make the best use of the visit to meet as many as I can, and not just know folks as names on a list.

Quick question checked the rules and didnt see anything against it, but does the range allow the use of buckshot or is it slugs only?

I know, I know. As it stands right now, I still plan to come up. But is my (very) limited travel fund well spent? (Your're among the ones I wanted to meet) if this means I can't come later? Two of us have made plans and got time off, so I'm not out, just questionable. So now.who's still going to be there?

Buckshot is fine on all but our closest pistol steel. We only allow birdshot on that.

Only a couple weeks away. This is my tally so far. Some we haven't heard from recently in this thread. Are we still a go with the smaller numbers?

Would it be smart to postpone it? Are there people dead set on coming and have asked for time off that would be ticked if we cancelled or rescheduled?

I'm good with calling it off or going for it, either way at this point.

I can go either way as well; I've taken time off from work already, but I haven't booked a hotel yet.

Honestly, I'm kind of on the fence right now. If only a handful of others are going to show up, I don't know if I can justify the travel & hotel expenses (money's tight). Plus, I'm trying to find some time to visit my brother, who's presently in another state, and the amount of time I have off for our meet would be just enough to squeeze in a visit with him...

Keep me listed as 'yes' for now, but that might change within the next few days. I'll keep y'all posted.
