Welcome all of you new folks!  We are glad to have you here.

I believe that if you jump over to the technical forum you can get directions on how to reset the colors to work better for you.  My old eyes actually like the softer gray background.  Didn't realize I squinted at the screen until I quit doing it...  ::)

Red Tornado signing on, and saying howdy.

I'm not a refugee, I'm still active on THR.US, RFC, TFL, et. al.  However, when I saw an MHI forum, MadOgre forum, and Springmom as high overlord of the General forum, I kind of had to sign on.  ;D  I hope all goes well here.  I'll be around as much as I can.

Greetings all. Heard of this site on The Ogre's blog and decided to log on and contribute what I can.

Served 5 years, Airborne; most of which were served in an Airborne task force. I'm not exactly a new shooter, but I am relatively young in that regard when compared to most of you. I'm sure that there will be a plethora of knowledge that I can learn here.

I'm an advocate of self reliance and Disaster preperation, as well as shooting in all of her forms. So greetings to you all and thanks for having me. 8)

    Self Policing.

Just a reminder to seasoned folks and information to folks new to gun forums.

A Forum should run itself and the Staff should only have to do the stuff behind the monitor that keeps the site up and running, and running smooth.
i.e. Server and Software matters, moving a thread posted by mistake in the wrong sub-forum...etc.

You folks are what makes up this Community. Communities are civil, polite, neighborly and take care of their own.
Communities parent kids, and Mentor to others within the Community.

Seasoned folks assist the less seasoned and new members moving in-this is called "passing it forward".

springmom and I are friends in the real world, and here in this Community.

You seasoned forum folks mentor the new folks.
You new to forum folks listen to the seasoned ones, while you read, conduct searches, and get matriculated to the Community .

Self policing is first policing ones self.
TTPO (think twice - post once)

Then giving another a gentle nudge with a PM to edit a post, or share how this Community takes care its own, how it does not air out dirty laundry, nor speak ill of another forum.

springmom and I are here if you need us.
If you posted a thread in the wrong area, let us know and we can move it.
You misspelled a word in the subject  field, and cannot edit, let us know.
You spot a problem, send us, or anyone on Staff a PM ASAP.

Good thing you folks are going to be civil, polite and self police...
springmon has some new "contractor" britches.  You ought to see these things, got pockets, and loops for hammers and what not...

She is packing a 1911, got a hammer hanging in one of them loops...

Ya'll excuse me, it  seems I done been "contracted" to clean out her bird's cage, and put in fresh newspaper...

Proper gun for this is a Kimber 1911 and back up is a hammer...
    Not for me, her...

I am using a single shot 20 shotgun to carry these cages outside.
The barrel fits in that carry handle just right...

    Clampet Cage Carrier.

(note to self: find out why springmom's husband did not change out newspapers before he went out of town.
