Insulin pump holster annoucement and updates
« on: August 23, 2019, 04:11:25 pm »
So guys been busy per usual around here lately with new stuff and baby etc;)

So I started building insulin pump holsters for the Tandem T:Slim and X2 and also the MiniMed 630/670 pumps. So if you know someone who is type 1 and runs a pump pass on word, there are very few options out there right now and this may very well work for them. Also if any of you guys here are running a pump give me a shout:)

More information and product pages etc: https://kymeraholsters.com/store/insulinpumpholsters

Also Eli is responsible for the picture above and any on body shots, so that's pretty cool;) I'm teaching him to shoot DSLR at 7 years old;)

In other news I'm over on MeWe along with George and a bunch of other people in our little community. For myself a combination of Facebook being a PITA and them deciding to cancel my advertising contract for life because I gave away those exotic 1911 grips which apparently irritated them. So anyone interested in a facebook alternative and finding me feel free to go to the links below:

In family news things are going well. Scarlett is doing great, Maggie is creeping quickly towards the big 4 year old birthday already;) Sarah is still recovering but doing better also, Eli is getting ready to go back to school here shortly. So it's been busy, we did sneak away a week or two ago for a couple nights camping since I was afraid if I didn't snow would come and another year would go by without getting out with the kids.

In AH news there isn't a whole lot to talk about, I've been working on stuff as usual designing new guns and making tooling and just picking away at orders like usual. I've got a couple cool exotics I'm finishing up that I plan to post some pictures here of which are pretty different than my norm so that's interesting;) But overall not much change there right this second it's been pretty much building and doing like normal;)

So little update for you guys I hope things are going well for everyone I've been too busy doing all of the above to check in really often but I'm glad to see things are still on the rails;)

Take care!

I've got one friend I know who wears a pump, but so far as I know, she rarely wears a belt.

    I'll check with her anyway.

Well I've got options for no belt also but they aren't in drop down menus. If she is having trouble killing clips and such feel free to pass on my contact. I'll be rolling out more options etc as they are requested so call this phase 1 of the project ;)

    She uses a "Medtronic G670".

She doesn't think it'd work for her (for reasons above), but she'd show it to her endocrinologist - she thought it was a good idea.

Yep that's one of the ones I'm building for. Really there should be very few people I can't build for the lions share of the market are on the two pumps I support.

But yeah if she runs it on the pocket it will require a slightly custom job with different blocking for the clip but it's no big deal. Figure $5 more than the list price for the clip itself.

    Take care

I'm type two and use a VGO insulin pump so it wouldn't work on me but I'll share it with my doctor. That's very thoughtful of you to build a holster for insulin pumps. Type two diabetes is bad enough, I wouldn't wish type one on anybody.

Thanks sir, it's one of those things originally I didn't have a good way to try and solve it so it went on the backburner. Then it came back up again and now I do;) So it's going forward hopefully it helps some people and works well for them;)

I have the "Guardian" from Luke.  Being in Law Enforcement I ,literally the day after I got the holster, I got into a take down and landed HARD on the holster.  I thought it was shattered even with the holster.  Nope, not a scratch on the pump or the holster.  Everyone I show this thing too is impressed.  The lever design to push the pump up/out of the holster is genius.  I ended up buying another one for my Wife's insulin pump too.  I know its TMI but I clip the Tank, er "Guardian" to my underwear at night and it holds on tight to the waistband and won't come off even without the "gripster".  I really do not know how you came up with such a perfect design.  The only idea I had after living with it is the other attachment options I messaged you about on Facebook.  Great job!
Yes I live in California.  Please dont hold that against me.
